Exotic animals are often used in the entertainment industry, pay for play operations, or sold in the exotic pet trade. Our nonprofit sanctuary provides a permanent home for exotic animals born into captivity and unable to be released into the wild.
Many people in the community find injured or orphaned wildlife and want to help, but don't know how. We rehabilitate those animals until they are able to be released back into the wild.
We offer guided tours, educational camps, and retreats to those interested in learning about the obstacles facing these animals both in the wild and in captivity. Since we are a nonprofit sanctuary, all proceeds from our educational opportunities are put back into the sanctuary to improve the quality and quantity of facilities for our animals.
We use biomimicry to structure our organization like an ecosystem. Our waste=fuel motto utilizes process outputs as inputs for another process. This minimizes waste, reduces our carbon footprint, and improves the sanctuary's sustainability.
